There’s only one way to know that a new award season has just begun: The 2025 Golden Globes!
The annual ceremony—the first of many to come this year—kicked off Sunday, Jan. 5., where the Hollywood Foreign Press Association honored the year’s most critically acclaimed films, TV shows and actors.
Even before the telecast kicked off from The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, two veteran stars were already major winners. The annual Cecil B. deMille Award was presented to Viola Davis while Ted Danson received the Carol Burnett Award for Lifetime Achievement in Television.
As for other famous faces who hit the red carpet, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Timothée Chalamet, Zoe Saldaña, Cynthia Erivo and Denzel Washington were all up for major awards for their film performances while television’s buzziest actors, including Quinta Brunson, Ayo Edebiri, Steve Martin and Jeremy Allen White, all had a chance at taking home a trophy as well.
